Race Dog
I have a mate I'm trying to get into dual sport/Adv riding. He has ridden road bikes for years but never been off road. We'll be doing day trips to start and then getting into longer rides. We'll be doing sand, rough stuff, mud etc. Lots of training before the actual trips start.
His budget is around 50k. He is normal height so should be able to ride most things. The lighter the better as he has a dodgy knee on the one side. It seems to randomly give way. He's able to ride around it for the most part.
Reason I'm asking is I have one bike, a 1200gs for everything. I would do an off road trip on the weekend and then ride it to work on Monday. I'm the wrong guy to give him advice.
Hopefully there is some out of the box thinking not just buy a klr.
Thanks
