I am busy planning our yearly Dec trip and after reading ride reports on Double Drift, Andries Vosloo and Kwandwe reserves, I want to include them in our route. :ricky:
Possible route:
Paterson - Alicedale - Riebeeck-Oos - Kwandwe Reserve
Across the R67 and enter Double Drift via Kamadolo gate, overnight ( Mvubu Chalets or Sam Knott Cabins ? )
and exit via Sam Knott Gate
- is there a dirt road from Paterson to Alicedale ... hard to tell form my maps which are public roads and which are Shamwari roads..
- is there fuel available on a public holiday in Riebeeck-Oos
- what are the road conditions like in the reserves
- any alternate routes that we should be considering
- does one need to make prior arrangements for bikes to enter the reserves
