i am trying to make a DIY electo plater at home for nuts bolts nipples etc, for the vmx bikes,
i have made up a plating solution of vinegar saturated with salt then running a dc current through the solution with pos going into the solution and neg on the items(nipples) in this instance, i am also using a bat charger instaed of a battery. been on aboit 15 min. looks the part bubbling and giving off hydrogen and oxygen(i hope) but nothing too shiny yet.
any one done this or have any tips
