The next round of the Enduro Wold X-Country Enduro series is next weekend, and find relevant information below. Although the venue sounds "interesting", I am sure Will and the Enduro World team will dish up another cracker. Any other WD planning to ride?
Next round of the official Enduro World Cross Country Enduro racing series to be held on Saturday 9 May 2009 at De Pan Cluster Sand in Carletonville area. Set to test man and machine but still very enjoyable and safe race.
Directions:
From PRETORIA / RANDBURG / MULDERSDRIFT Area : (+- 1 Hour Drive)
Take the N14 to Krugersdorp. At the 4-way Stop (sasol garage) where Hendrik Potgieter Road (silverstar casino) meets turn right to Ventersdorp. Follow N14 to Ventersdorp all the way untill the road is completely closed off due to road works. Turn Left onto the R500 to Carletonville (follow orange day glows). Follow R500 to Carletonville for +- 5km untill you see big Water Pan on left and just after Pan, enter at Farm Gate on Left hand side which will be marked.
From JHB / BEDFORDFIEW / EDENVALE / SPRINGS / Area: (+- 1 Hour Drive)
Take the N1 to Bloemfontein. Keep left at split to N12 Potchefstroom. Follow N12 Potchefstroom all the way. At Westonaria turn Right on the R501 to Carletonville. Follow all the way to the 1st Stop (follow orange day glows). Carry on Straight over small bridge. At Stop Street turn right into Annan Road. Go straight through town and then turn left into South Street at Fire Station. At the 1st Stop turn right into Ada Street. Carry on straight over Bridge onto R500 past Caltex Garage. Keep going straight for +- 15km untill you see the big Water Pan on right and enter at marked Farm Gate on right hand side.
The Co-ordinates at the Farm Gate on the R500 is: 26°13'31,27" S
