I was reading an old post on punctures and thought this solution might help when in the middle of nowhere without a tube and the patch won't hold .
If you have a puncture or even an impact puncture where the tube is raptured , locate the hole and pull the tube out from the rim , what you do next is take two thick zip ties and zip tie the tube on either side of the hole thus isolating the puncture, Replace the tube and pump up to about 1 bar and woila you can get to where you are going . just as an emergency meauser .
Another very extreme meauser is to stuff the tyre with Grass , lots of it.. not ideal but it will get you out of a tight spot .
