I recently purchased a 2011 800GS with 20,000KM's and am loving the bike......however, the clutch has started slipping and cable adjustment is now at the max. After contacting the previous owner, I found that this is already the 3rd clutch on this bike (which I find very worrying), but no warranties as the 2nd was apparently aftermarket parts and the 3rd was a re-conditioned clutch from Motorrad in Pinetown
After trawling numerous posts, I am more confused than ever with what to do.
Replacing the plates and springs seems like an easy enough job, but how will I know if that will solve the problem long term.
Basket, casing etc. can apparently get VERY expensive.
Anyone with experience in the field, please help!!
