Good day dogs!

This might have been covered, bit see this as a case study...

We used to have a suzuki 500cc quad/atv and it was worked hard until its dying day.
We are now looking again for a trusty farm workhorse.

The brands we looked at is polaris, honda and yamaha. We like the honda & yamaha. The three options we are considering are:

1. We can get a quad in the 70k/80k region, and add something like a tw200 for more mobility.

2. Or we can go for a more expensive quad around 100k and know it will have to work hard for long to pay itself back.

3. Or we can go for a side-by-side which ranges around 130k/150k which is unchartered waters for us.

The plaas bakkies are used to fetch spanners and screwdrivers, and it is driving Jondu (die baas) nuts, because of the high mileage and fuel.

We want a quad to do logistics and spraying in vineyards amongst other things.
The benefit of doing the quad/tw200 combo is that when one aap is busy spraying with the quad, the other aap can still use the tw200 to fetch that very important spanner.

Basic questions.
Which quads are worth their salt? And we are talking about those tractor quads, we've got the GS and klr's for fun.
Are side-by-sides worth the price?

We know there is ample knowledge between the wilddogs, please let us know. It is rather urgent-ish.

Yours wildly, Alducor & Jondu
