Greetings WD’s, I’m considering a short Baviaans trip ±27 – 30 Dec 12
During my very SHORT Dec/Jan leave , I intend, along with my son, to ride Baviaans Kloof on our XR’s{650 & 400} between 27 & 30 Dec 12. I know it is between Christmas & New Years and many WD's will be with their family’s, but this only time I have available, and yes, quality time with my son hopefully.
I have never ridden this route & was wondering if any other WD’s have similar plans that we could perhaps tag along.
The basic idea is - See attached WD Baviaans kloof RR map from a previous WD (Thanks):
a. ±27 Dec 12 - Patensie – Willowvale “T1- Green” route, with perhaps 1 night stop. 2nd nite in Willowvale.
b. ±29 Dec Williowvale via Steytlerville “T2 - Yellow” route back to Patensie, with perhaps a sleep over enroute.
Any idea is there is fuel available at Studtis or along the route as we don’t have Long range fuel tanks.
I believe from WD Jupiter, that there is currently lots of water and the roads have been water damaged.
I have taken WD Knucklehead’s, advice and signed up on Facebook’s Baviaans Tourism link for updates as the time approaches.
