fixing indicator button on 1150

Hi guys

I am having intermittent trouble with the left indicator button on my 1150, 2000 model.  It started switching itself on, then it decided to die and I have to seriously wiggle it before it will start working.  How difficult is it to open up and have a lok at the connectors etc or anyone in WC that can advise or assist?
