Originally wanted to do Sani Pass and back to Durbs in 1 day, but decided to do an "easy ride" with MAK instead. Went via all the back roads to Richmond, then through Hella Hella to Bulwer, had breakfast at the "Nip Inn" ( Great breakfast) and back via Impendle > Howick and N3 home.
The Mkomaas river sans railings. Rode up from the river a way and took some photos. MAK didn't arrive. I assumed he had stopped to take some photos himself. After a while went looking for him, only to find him standing around taking photos.... But where's his bike? ???
Oh!!!! Damn! Too much of admiring the scenery and not enough watching the corners...
Thank goodness for ATGATT. No broken bones. Managed to flag down two other riders Kyle and Russell, who helped get the bike out of the bush. It was a lot steeper than it looks in the Photo. Thanks for the help guys. It was greatly appreciated.
We stopped at the top for the routine photo of the entire Valley, and just before pulling off again, I heard a crash. Didn't endear myself by laughing and taking more photos though.
Rest of the trip was very pleasant, although uneventful.
