fuel pump whining transalp 700

Hi guys.
As of late ive noticed my fuel pump to be making a constant winning noise while running.
Im not sure if its always made a noise and I've just not noticed it.

Could any other 700 ta owners put there ear to the fuel tank while she idles and let me know what you can hear.
Excuse my ignorance but is there a filter of sorts before the pump that could be blocked up and restricting flow.
