Going slowly - Northern Cape

Skolla and myself are planning a trip to the Northern Cape next week. We do not have a fixed route planned, more places that we want to visit. On our list is Verneukpan, Augrabies, Upington and Boegoebergdam. We traveling from George. Any suggestions on nice roads to travel (gravel), places to see, fishing spots and overnight spots (mostly camping or affordable B&B) will be welcome. Looking forward to hear from you.
