On a recent trip I realized I'd forgotten some of the settings and features on my Hero 3, my own fault, I don't use it enough.
So, in an effort to re-familiarize myself with my little camera discovered the gopro smartphone app and for those that haven't used it, it's f'ing brilliant. You can see the footage (with a one second lag) on your phone screen and not only can you switch the camera on and off, you can adjust all the settings on your phone too. So much easier to do on the phone than on the gopro itself.
