I use a little Etrex Legend CX which is actually a very cool piece of equipment but it tends to switch off on heavily corrugated roads. Also switches off at times when the KLR reaches its personal sound barrier around 140km/h. Vibration is obviously the problem and I thought it may have to do with the batteries momentarily breaking contact in those circumstances.
It has no such problems in a car.
Would it solve the problem by switching to a 12v outlet for power while riding? Any other suggestions, solutions?
