Hey guys,
I feel like such a chop. I had my first zero speed drop of my bike.. :'(
Was trying to put it on the centrestand when I lost my footing. The bike rolled away from me towards a wall, but I was pulling as hard as I could to try stop it, so it happened in slow motion, sadly inevitably gravity won.. :xxbah:
On the rear right plastic fairing (where the F650GS sticker is), there is about a 5cm crack. There is also some paint flecks missing on the plastic panel above the engine.
Anyone know where/whether I can get the plastic 'welded' in Cape Town somewhere?
I presume if they weld it they'll have to respray that panel?
Would investing in a SW Motech crashbar help prevent damage to the fairing in such situations? They look quite low down and close to the bike on the pictures online..
That's how you learn I guess!! :-[
