Grinding noise on Front Wheel/tyre KLR 650

[Hillbilly Hippy]

A while ago I noticed a soft squeak from the front wheel while riding. Only heard when riding slowly. Now the noise has become more of a thud / grind every time the wheel turns a full revolution. have read posts of the speedo gear, my speedometer is still working. I have recently changed the front brakes. the squeak started about a month after the brake change. Can anyone suggest what is wrong.
