Gs Sport suspension

I have a Gs 1250 with sport suspension I weight 70kg and bike very very harsh.Think bmw made a error to put the same spring in of Gsa.Bike is lighter so damping too hard.
Like the longer travel.Can one replace the springs too a smaller/softer spring and retain the longer travel.
Hope someone understand and can help.
