This morning I hit a massive oil spill in Elandsfontein while doing a fair bit of speed and went skidding down the road for about thirty metres. Total damage to the bike is some scuffing on the crash bars and passenger footpeg bracket. I walked away with nothing more than a small bruise on my hip, a hole in the outer layer of my riding jeans and covered in stinking oil.
