I just happened to stumble on this website and got hooked by Mr Hog's story... Being an expat worker I understand many of his experiences and although they might be funny at a later stage, it might not be the case at the time it happens....
Although I have been riding bikes for a large part (read no money) of my life I am still very much a novice on the adventure side of things, but I do ride and have fun whenever time permits. Have done a few trips: DRC to SA -2013, Botswana/Namibia - 2014, Baviaans - 2014, and a few other day trips... Expat contract ends soon and I will be back in SA for an unknown and hopefully longish period which will allow me to do a few rides...
I'm from Swellendam and are always lus to ride my bike...
