Hartebeespoortdam

Wifey and me are planning a run up to Hartebeespoortdam over the weekend .
Can anybody recommend a good guesthouse with secure bike parking ?
I would also like to know if there is anything worth seeing and doing , apart from
the usual gatskuur .
I'll be taking the FJR on this trip , so sentences starting with the words : " Just 200km up
this little gravelroad ......." won't do . :bueller:
