Might work on bikes with similar polycarbonate lights or screens:
My Pajero's one polycarbonate headlight was severely yellowed/oxidized and buying a new one was simply too expensive. So after I did some googling, I decided to try out one of these headlight restoration kits. I was pleasantly surprised.
The kit contains the restoration polish, wool buffer bit, micro fibre cloth, 5 x 1200 grit sandpaper pieces, velcro sandpaper holder, masking tape. If you have most of these items, just buy the restoration polish separately. The instructions are easy enough.
*Apply masking type around the light
*Sound down with 1200 (some start with 600grit and work their way towards 1500grit) - keep wet with water
*Rinse and let the plastic dry
*Apply restoration polish and buff well. Do two or three times.
*Hand buff buff with the micro fibre cloth afterwards to shine it nicely
*Detach the velcro wool buffer and rinse
I did not sand down the left hand side light as it was not so severely damaged, I only buffed it with the polish.
The kit cost R250 at Builder's Wharehouse. Better than spending thousands R's on new lights, even if I have to do it once a year.
