Team UJ Solar is competing in the 2016 Sasol Solar Challenge (teams of students racing with solar cars from Pretoria to Cape Town) and the race kicked off yesterday. Their overnight stop was in Kroonstad last night and they are heading for Bloemfontein tonight.
This morning they had a bit of an incident when the steering rack broke due to a blow-out on one of the tyres. They now need an aluminium welder to fix it. Some spare aluminium (50x100x4) would also be useful, as well as a workshop or place to do the welding. They are staying at Kopano Nokeng in Bloem tonight. Please let me know if there is a WD that can assist!
