Me: Vancouver Canada. Been riding for about 10 years, the last 4 on dirt. Just turned 50 this Fall and suddenly have a great desire to see different places on my bike. Last year I was at the North Pole/ Arctic Circle, this year Baja, Mexico. I have a BMW K1600GT for my road work, and a BMW F800GSA for off road.
We have some good friends who immigrated from South Africa about 10 years ago, they say I'm more South African than a South African - not sure that's good or bad...I have been very interested in the Africa Twin, more so in the Adventure Sports (because little gas tanks and crappy range are a piss off) and started developing an interest in SA/ Namibia from one of your members on YT a couple of years back. I especially am drawn to the new version coming out with tubeless wheels. I may do something there in the Spring. Stumbled upon this great forum.
I'm looking to do a tour through SA and into Namibia in the next year or two.
