Have peeped at info here, on and off, and decided to register.
Useful information indeed.
Would also like to join a dirt ride next year.
I'm doing the Honda off-road day tomorrow.
Put 2700km on the XR so far, so should be confident enough, I hope.
XR650L is my first Honda, but not my first street scrambler.
In the 80's had two stokes enduros to commute. Stopped in the 90 with a 650 thumper four stroke.
Commuted on street bikes since then.
The XR currently in use as my ER6f is in for rim damage and service.
My daughter calls it the giraffe, when having to get on the back, to go to school in the mornings.
It's defenitly not meant for 2 people and a bag of bricks, they call a schoolbag nowadays.
Had to put a long range tank on, as the peanut tank it comes with, is terrible.
Will desmog as it doesn't quite feel like the good ol' days.
But all in all a lekker 'scrambler'. :thumleft:
