I am a newbie to this site. I got my 1st bike in 1969 a Honda 50cc. Two years later a CB 175 twin, took a ride from Durban to Bulawayo stayed for a few days and returned with not a problem. Have only recently started riding again in 2005 on a scooter 125cc, just to see if I was not going thru a "Middle age crisis". In Feb 2006 I bought a F650GS because I like the high rise handle bars and NOT because I am a snob. Have recently bought a R1200GS. I love long distance travel and will be going to Vic West at the end of the month. My wife also loves to ride with me. I use my bike on a daily basis. My wife uses the car to do her thing. I have had my license since 1969. I also believe we should all have legal size plates so as not to make the transport department rich. I do wave at fellow bikers and do not give a hoot what other bikers ride.
