Pack Dog
When I got this bike, about 10,000 km's ago with 1400km on the clock, I used to get around 5.5l/100km max on the on-board computer.
These days I do 80kms per day, 70 of which is in a straight line at or near (but rarely over) 140km/h and my fuel consumption is at 7.2l/100!!
It is time for a service again (in fact I'm planning to book one today) but I'm perplexed at the high consumption. The bike's done a lot of gravel (usually at the rear of the pack) so I'm assuming the air filter is in desperate need of a clean/replace. And of course by now it could use an oil change etc. but can that be the reason for the high consumption?
The only other thing that comes to mind is that the wind has been absolutely howling here in Cpt for the past two months and I'm almost always fighting a strong headwind.
Any ideas from the pro's?
