Ok, I've been lurking on here for quite a while now and I reckon it's time to come out of the closet. I currently ride a road bike but will be adding a DS as soon as the $$$ allow and I think the KTM 990 has me convinced that it's the right way to go.
I've taken one for a short test ride and it seems to tick all the important boxes for me. When i have $$$ in hand I'll go for another, longer ride (maybe a weekend?) before taking the final plunge.
Im not really (at this stage) intereted in the technical offroad stuff but simply the ability to handle district dirt roads comfortably with pillion.
I'm based in 'Toti in KZN.
