this question has come up because of the Amageza. So far, we need a Garmin gps that records your track in 1 second intervals up to 12 hours = 43200 points.

Can they do this and which ones? I have an Etrex Vista that appears to be able to work with 10000 track points but I don't know if that is recorded tracks or downloaded tracks.

Or if you have a blank memory card installed (no maps) will it just keep recording the whole day's journey to the memory card until full? which leads to the question, what size card is needed for such a long track?

I was looking at buying another GPS if needed but this 43200 point track bothers me ................
