How hot does engine covers get?

Guys & girls, seeking advice again.  I'm cleaning up the engine covers on the restoration project I'm busy with and would like to preserve the bare aluminium look.  This means I need to spray it with a clear coat.  The current product I use can withstand heat up to 93 degr Celsius.

Will this be OK?
