Race Dog
This invite is open to any Dogs willing to help out in carrying Race Marshalls around the Ironman Cycle course and Media Transport. The Media Transport is to ferry Local and Foreign Journo's around the Triathlon course, Cycle and Run..............(the GS's battle with the water hazards and the KTM air-intake isn't high enough for the Swim Leg ;D ;D ;D) for 2SD, Yamaha developed a Jetski :thumleft:
The distance covered on Race day can be between 120km's and 240km's, this on the Events Course. Generally the bike marshals finish around 4.30pm, but if you need to leave a bit earlier it isn't a problem - especially the guy's who need to travel a way's home. :thumleft:
The Organisers feed and water the bikers throughout the day, lekker food,usually a hot buffet, sarmies during the day, deserts and hot and cold drinks on tap. The rest stops are regular and very "geselig", almost like a Drinks friday. All fuel is paid for, so you can ride as much or as little as you want. There is also great Scenery and Cameraderie. This is a lekker jol for those who can make it.
For those who are interested please PM me ASAP. This event takes place in Port Elizabeth, if you want to travel down cool, but then book early as the Ironman Week is usually fully booked for accomodation.
The Meeting point will be decided and the time is 5.30am, as the traffic close off the roads.
