Hi all
For those guys in PE we will meet at the N2 onramp just next to Makro at 7:00 on Saturday 28th. For the guys who wish to join us from outside PE, please let me know so we can arrange meeting points along the route.
We will then proceed on the N2 to the R330 turnoff to Humansdorp (approx. 77km) and eat breakfast at the Wimpy, at the Engen Garage. We can possibly meet up with the rest of the guys here that wish to join from the surrounding areas. You will also need to fill up here with fuel.
Remember to take drinking water for the route thru the mountains.
We will then proceed to the R62 (approx. 19km) and then head towards Kareedouw (approx. 33km) From here we will head towards the Baviaans Lodge and then continue on the Rus en Vrede 4x4 trails heading towards the R332 that runs thru the Baviaans, and comes out close to the Doornkloof camp site.
We will return on Sunday on the R332 thru the Baviaans towards Patensie.
We will be overnighting at the Doornkloof Boskamp for the night. There are 3 chalets that sleep 6 + 2 + 2. There is bedding available so we can travel light, and we will arrange braai packs and beer. The cost of the accomm is R230 pp. Pay as you go.
Please add your name to the list if you are going so we can book the chalets. Indicate if you are taking a bed or camping and whether you want a braaipack.
