Some time ago Keith phoned and enquired about a sidecar for his GS. He told me that he was planning on taking some time out and going riding with his Alsatian, Tau. Not only did he want a sidecar but he wanted to build the rig himself? I was a bit concerned about this but agreed as the Heeler kit is quite simple to install. So we sent off the sidecar to Riebeeck Kasteel where he stayed and over the next few weeks had quite a few conversations on the phone with questions about this and that regarding the fitting of the sidecar. In all the sidecar installation went really well.

Keith has now packed up his house, loaded Tau in the sidecar, his girlfriend on the back and is busy with his trip!

I have often heard fellow adventurers say things like "I would like to take an extended trip on my bike/sidecar but..." and after the but the excuses normally follow, BUT here is someone who is actually busy doing just that, taking the trip of a lifetime!  :thumleft: I find a lot of inspiration from Keith and Tau's trip.

You can follow his progress here  https://www.smilinginthewind.com/index.html  and his blog and daily journal here https://www.smilinginthewind.com/our-blog--journal.html

Now get back to work... so that you can plan that trip of a lifetime... 8)
