Im doing a sprocket and chain replacement on my 2004 KLR. When I removed the front sprocket There was a spacer behind it. Its about 4mm thick but slightly dished so in total about 5mm thick.
The back of the sprocket, ie opposite side to where the nut goes,  is flat.  The new one however has a boss approx 3mm thick on this face. Both old and new are Motrix spockets.
As can be seen on the photo, the spacer looks very 'homemade'and I cant imagine is a standard part. Your thoughts and advice please.
