When I did my Doo I had to take off the clutch cover to fish for the missing doo-spring bits.  Since then I've been having some drops of coolant out the tell-tale hole under the waterpump. Getting slowly worse.

I opened the waterpump yesterday and checked the rotary seal under the impeller.  (although the impeller pulls off after you've loosened the retaining nut, rather screw it off as this causes less damage to the o-ring inside it).

Rotary seal saufaces were ok. but the rubber under the section which goes into the recess in the crankcase looked a bit warped, so i coated the back with RTV silicone head-gasket sealant and seated it carefully.  (clean everything first).

No more water leak!  (Sorry, forgot to tke pictures).  I guess this saved at least R300 on a new rotary seal.
