KLR650 08, has this bike been sorted?

I'd just like to know the opinion of the other dogs about whether they think Kawa has now solved the new spec KLR problems. If I go and buy a '09 (Are they out yet?) model, do I have to worry about (mainly) oil usage or is the bike ok now?
