Knobbly limitations

I took the plunge. After two Heidenau K60 fronts (and failing to procure a TKC80) I fitted a Michelin T63 front tyre on a F800GS - a true off road tyre - for the upcoming Verneukpan bash. A brief spin through sandy veld confirmed that the front sits much better in sand than the worn out K60 it replaces.

But what are the limitations I have to put up with?
For one: On the 15km N1 trip back home the front wheel started hopping at 140km/h (it is rated 180km/h). In all fairness the Trac Mac's fitter said that it would be difficult to balance as there was slime in the tube - he fitted some weights nonetheless.

Do I:
1. replace the tube with a new one, balance and re-slime
2. remove all balancing weights - balancing a knobbly is a waste of time or
3. just learn to live with the hopping and not go that fast?
4. wait for the T63 to settle - it has only done 15km.
