On Tuesday morning tea time it felt like a good idea to start the 525 on the top floor of the workshop. In short, I took the bike around for a couple of times and my brother decided he needed to take her for spin as well. No protective gear and no helmut - and yes, he came off the bike at not more than 30km/hr, landed on one leg and then landed up in hospital - knee busted so badly that the 1st orthepedic surgeon referred my brother to a more experienced one. His knee is busted so badly that they cannot even decide what to do from the CT scan. The plan is to open the knee up on Monday and then see what can be done. In short Wille Honne, a single stupid decision without protective gear and you can end up in hospital for the next 8 weeks totally unplanned...Luckily the bike is fine.
