Hopefully this will lead to silencing some of the critics!

Thanks to a 4.5 million euro investment the current floor space of 10,000 m2 is to be expanded by the summer of 2012 to 16,000 m2.

Ground was broken about one month ago for the expansion of the KTM Parts Center in Mattighofen. KTM’s economic growth – with expanding global sales and the entry into new markets in Asia and South America – has resulted in increased demands on the Department for Related Products. The expansion of the Parts Center by 5800 m2 to 16000 m2 is therefore essential to satisfy increases in capacity.

Hubert Trunkenpolz (KTM Sales Director):
“The KTM products are now sold to approximately 1,200 independent dealers worldwide through 21 subsidiaries and two joint venture companies in Dubai and New Zealand. The expansion of the Parts Center in Mattighofen is required to meet the growing sales and distribution network and thereby to meet future increases in logistical requirements.”

Five years ago KTM already laid the foundation for a highly professional, international parts logistics with an investment of 10.2 million euros. Since its opening in January 2006, all spare parts and all articles from the KTM PowerParts and PowerWear collections from the Parts Center have been distributed to KTM dealers all over the world as well as being dispatched to the second large warehouse in the US.

Currently there are about 32,000 articles that the center’s 105 employees must manage and process for shipping every day. The expansion will make efficient storage possible and allow for even faster delivery. A customer service within 24 hours is already possible and all parts are available in the dealerships within 48 hours!
