Planning a trip on a 1200 LC Adventure with my wife who is a new pillion rider from JHB around the bottom of Lesotho and up to Clarens.
Day 1: JHB to Ladybrand - an easy 401 Km with lunch at Marquard.
Day 2: Ladybrand to Kokstad. Would love to go through Rhodes but not comfortable carrying a pillion on dirt so taking the tar road - Zastron > Lady Grey > Barkly > Elliot > Maclear > Kokstad.
This is 655 Km, 8 Hrs through the prettiest part. Not sure if I want to do such a long stretch in one go.
Is this do-able? Is there any decent accommodation half way somewhere?
Any suggestions?
