Time to tap into the collective.....
I have a 1986 KLR600 which I have slowly over the last two years turned into quite a fun machine.
Currently I am running a set of 43mm conventionals off a KDX200 up front which I have re-sprung for the heavier bike and rider. For the type and pace of my riding so far they have coped well.
BUT....There is just something about a set of serious forks out front.
After a brief search I now have a complete front end off a 1997 KTM620 adventure which includes a set of 50mm WP extreme conventional forks. Taking some quick measurements last night they look like they will fit quite well and the spring rates are identical.... so no issues there.
What would be the potential handling issues be by fitting these to an old school frame like the KLR?
Thanks
