Ok it has been many many moons since I did my 50cc learners so I am not to sure on the laws today.
Took my daughter today to go book for her learners license in Hermanus at the traffic department for 125cc as she will be sixteen soon. Gentlemen at desk says that she has to be 17 to write for learners. He said the new law that came into working 2 years back says you can only write 125 cc learner when you are 17. Is he correct? :-\
This guy also said he can not do the license on a birth certificate. She must have a SA ID book. Is this correct? :-\
I did a search online and found two sites saying 16 for 125cc. Anyone know something about this so called new law? Please educate me.
