I've decided to sell my faithful Husaberg TE 300. In its lifetime, its been owned by 3 legends:
Legend One - Graham Jarvis. He came third in the 2012 Roof of Africa with this bike (!st Wade Young, 2nd Altus De Wet)
Legend Two- The second owner who is a legendary nice bloke who had the bike for about a year.
Legend Three- Me. I'm a legendary "Wannabee".
About 40 hours ago, I had the following done to the bike (Invoices to prove):
- New top end
- New bottom end
- New fork seals
- New wheel bearings
- New swing arm bearings and Heim joint
- New wheel spacers
- Brand new starter installed
- About 15 hours ago I replaced the sprockets and the chain (DID X-Ring)
Extras:
- GasGas fan (bigger and more powerful than KTM fan)
- Shark fins front & rear (PSP)
- Michelin mousses front & rear
- Carbon pipe guard. Getting tatty & needs replacement if you are fussy about cosmetics.
- Carbon starter motor guard
- Standard and 100kg springs front & rear
- Aluminium bash plate
- Carb breather pipes re-routed to airbox
- Extra air filter
- Radiator braces
Also, I had the suspension redone by Hilton Hayward. Set up for a 100kg rider. Original springs still available.
New sticker kit put on this past weekend.
The frame is signed by Grahan Jarvis.
341 hours. This sounds like a lot, but the bike has been meticulously maintained, and has only ever run on Motul 800 fully synthetic oil.
Lastly, although the motor is standard, for some or other reason, this 300 feels more responsive and powerful than any other 300 I have ever ridden. I can't explain why.
This is a good bike that I can sell with a clear conscience. It would suit a biggish bloke who enjoys technical riding.
Price R48 000 including a brand new set of Mitas tyres. Or, R45 000 with existing tyres and tubes. I think this is a very fair price.
