Lesotho on my ace

Hey guys, would appreciate some advice here:

Ive got a 7-8 day trip planned through Lesotho and golden gate coming up next week. I'll be riding on my own on an F800GS, my first trip through Lesotho.
I was just worried about tyres - Are knobblies essential? I have on a set of Metzeler Sahara Enduro 3's now, not sure whether they will be good enough, I am going to be doing some of the gnarlier off-road stuff.

My gut feeling is to just bite the bullet and buy a set of Knobblies, maar hulle is maar DUUR!
