Lesothu - Sani to Gariep - Best route and other info needed

Hi We will be Camping at Hela Hela over New Year and wanted to do Sani and back when my mate suggested that we just go thru Lesothu. Now I have gathered that the only thing I need is a passport. What I dont know is what route to take or how long it will take- is there road maps available? . Do i need extra fuel or to sleep over ( and where - heard a lot about Katse Dam??).  what about those ZA stickers-- so many questions so little answers at this stage...........

Any Help / advice / suggestions would be appreciated- We will not be using the bikes but 2 4x4's with offroad camping trailers.
