I recently had a 50/50 Heidenhau fitted to my GS1200 front wheel.
Even though it was balanced the bike still shook like crazy on the open road. This also coupled with the front being "twisty" for lack of a better word but it feels as though the bike is unstable at speeds higher than 120.
Almost like the beginning of a tank slapper??
I took it back and they turned the tyre 180 degrees on the rim and rebalanced. The shaking seems to be better but is still evident. The unstable feel still there and at higher speeds is frightening. To be frank I dont trust this tyre at all especially if my wife is with.
I have a Heidenhau at the back and I'm happy with it.
Someone told me thats just the way Heidenhau tyres are.........If thats the case its the last time I spend hard earned cash on that.
Any comments/advice . Thanks.
