LOUD vs quiet

I can see both sides to the story. Some maintain that a loud pipe meant that a cage did not change lanes and cut them off or prevented a pedestrian from stepping in front of them. Some find loud pipes obtrusive and makes rides unbearable and angers people who have nothing else to do then moan about such things. What say you ?
