Motorcyclist down on M3

A cyclist and a motorcyclist were killed on Thursday morning after the pair crashed on the M3 in Cape Town.

Police said that the motorcyclist was apparently driving towards Wynberg on the M3 when the cyclist turned to cross the highway, from the middle lane to the other side. The biker swerved to avoid hitting the cyclist but was unable to avoid the collision.

Anyone know anything about this? Story seems full of holes though, I don't know anywhere on the M3 where there are 3 lanes, except maybe by the beginning near Westlake. If it's true then what the hell is a cyclist doing on the M3?
