The weekend was lekker with mixed feelings. I didn't want to make an issue - but i think a few things must be said. Positives: I met great people and laughed a lot. My roomies kept me awake till past midnight both nights chit-chatting away. I think the food was great - good meat, putu pap and sheba with salads at the braai and ouma made a very nice potjie for Saturday night. R200 for the lot which included extras for the tent and so on ..
Butttttt ... guys and girls - i have to say this. If you attend a bash, why travell 200-300km, bring your own food, stay in your chalet 80% of the weekend and not support the hosts and organisers. Many dogs came from far to mingle, meet the face behind the crazy name and ride their bikes around the Tonteldoos and Dullstroom areas. So whats the point if you kuier in your own gazebo, tent, chalet or whatever!
Then, how the hell do you host a bunch of bikers that pay for a decent bed and hot shower, and not have any electricity (lights) in the chalet that is equipped with a car battery system and to find the fridge is not working and no candles available. We do not carry freakin car batteries on our bikes Sir! This was fixed on day two after numerous complaints. And ... please all you organisers out there - if you have the option of camping and chalets at the venue - make sure it is all together at the kuier area. I had to negotiate my bike - half getrek for app 2km's back to my chalet on a snotty road in the rain, every day there and back. I could also not attend the functions in comfy clothing because you need to be kitted from head to toes for these transfers. Those who trailered their bikes obviously did'nt have a problem cause they had 4 wheels to get themselves back and forth - nice and dry. This was my 2nd bash and if this is way bashes are done - then maybe its just not for me... please prove me wrong on the next one.  :peepwall: :pot:

Thanks to Milkybar for putting it all together and the Barberton guys for the ride - the 170km there took us 5hours with lots of fun!

Here follows a few pics - starting with a brand new and clean 990 Adv.
