My new 990s Adv

Whaoo...I just put on the first 20km on my bike new bike. KTM990s Adv and fitted Leo V smokes( man do those pipes sound great!). The only thing now is running it in....what a pain all you want to do is give it stick and you can't  :-\. Any advice on running this beast in..I was told to keep it under 7K for the firt 500km and then slowly build up...sounds a bit concervative to me?
