Nearly got taken out by a cage in Woodstock yesterday.
Being semi paranoid in traffic, I had noticed the car inching forward from a sidestreet. As the traffic was fairly light, I thought he had seen me. When I clicked that he had not seen me, I had that split second ''ofok dit gaan seer wees'' flash. No time for gearing down or braking. I just opened the throttle in sluggish 4th or 5th gear and managed to get past his front bumper. No crunch sound, no pain, no blackout, no reality changing impact.
I stopped a while later just to get that '' pre -katskiet wet/dry taste out of my mouth. Crazy thing, I wasnt even agitated, just numb to the bone and happy not to be in pain.
